Robert’s Bio
Robert Aragon, an EMS veteran for over 38 years, began his EMS career as an emergency medical technician at the legendary Bowers Ambulance in Long Beach, California, in 1986.
During his 12-year tenure at Bowers, Robert rose to the position of Regional Operations Manager. In 1998, after the first round of industry consolidation and industry leaders began to move around in the Southern California market, Robert left Bowers to join other former Bowers alums as the operations manager of a new South Bay area startup, AmeriCare Ambulance.
However, in August 2000, Robert was offered an enticing position at MedReach Ambulance, a cross-town rival, where he served as the Director of Operations for 18-1/2 years until January 2019.
After leaving MedReach in 2019, Robert assisted other Los Angeles area ambulance services, serving as their director of operations for the next five years through the end of 2023, including CAL-MED Ambulance Service based in South El Monte, California and Medtrans Ambulance based in East Los Angeles, California. In 2024, Robert moved to South Carolina to be near family.
Robert has a strong industry reputation for building solid operations teams, developing sound operational policies and processes, efficient deployment models and dispatch processes, human resources best practices, fleet maintenance, vehicle and equipment procurement, and developing internal clinical educational programs.
Throughout his EMS management career, Robert has been involved in EMS trade associations at both local and state levels.
