Brian Ranger has 51 years’ experience in the EMS field. Mr. Ranger began his career in 1973 at the historic Hollywood-based Schaefer Ambulance Service working as an ambulance attendant. Shortly thereafter, Brian would head to the sandy beaches of southern California when he went to work for the Bowers family at Bowers Ambulance, another legendary southern California ambulance service based in Long Beach California with its main office on scenic Pacific Coast Highway.
Brian learned the ambulance business while at Bowers ambulance and quickly rose up through the ranks and eventually served as the company’s operations Manager.
Brian continued his career path and over the decades in EMS he worked for notable ambulance services including American Medical Response, Emergency Ambulance, AmbuServe Ambulance, Priority One Medical Transport, and PRN Ambulance, among others.
In addition to leading many operations and administrative teams in EMS services, Brian’s contributions include his leadership in local and state industry trade associations having served as president of both the Los Angeles County Ambulance Association and the California Ambulance Association. Brian has operated his sole-practitioner consulting firm, Ranger Consulting, since 2009, which he will continue to serve clients with regulatory guidance. Through his consulting work, Brian has worked closely with state and local industry regulators and has acquired a strong reputation for maintaining a high level of attention to detail and respect for regulatory requirements which is always reflected in his guidance to his clients.
